Year End Celebration and Open House

To all our supporters, volunteers, and friends...
Please join us for:
Mission Flight Year End Celebration of God's Faithfulness and Open House
When: Sunday, December 5, 2021
Where: San Gabriel Valley Airport, North Hangar
When: 3 to 6 pm
Where to meet: In the lobby of the airport, next to Annia's restaurant. Representatives from Mission Flight will meet you, and drive you over to the hangar.
Activities:

Come see our fleet! They will be on display and open to explore.
BBQ dinner from 4 to 5 pm. The dinner is only $5, as long as you RSVP before November 4.
Presentations and stories of God's faithfulness will be shared after dinner.

Please RSVP so we know how much food to prepare.

IRS Demolition Company

IRS Demolition donated their labor, truck, and skill in moving some of our large supplies from the San Gabriel Valley Airport down to San Quintin. We filled their truck with 24 boxes of face masks, 8 large steel folding tables, 7 dental chairs, and over a thousand backpacks! Plus IRS Demolition donated desks and file cabinets to Pastor Joel and his church. They are an awesome company to work with, and their time and energy was appreciated!!

Connect and Serve

Where: San Gabriel Valley Airport, 4233 Santa Anita Avenue, El Monte, CA 91731
When: November 6 - 9 to 12 am
Where to Meet: In the lobby of the airport. We will escort everyone to the hangars from the lobby.
What we will do: Wash planes, clean up the two hangars, sort supplies

RSVP required: We will work in compliance with the current COVID restrictions which will limit us to 10 people per hangar.
(Please bring your own mask and gloves.)

November 11-14, 2021 to Nayarit - Huichol Indian Outreach Clinic: We are full. Please pray for the safety of our team, and that we would provide the care and support that are needed for these people.

January 21-23, 2022 to San Quintin: This will be a combination dental clinic and construction project. A construction crew will be working on a second story storage room.

Our Upcoming Trips

Disaster Response Training

One of our ministry partners, Acts of Mercy, is starting another round of online disaster response training starting in November. Acts of Mercy is the Antioch Movement's disaster relief arm. The goal is to mobilize Antioch churches to respond to disasters with a gospel-centered approach, to bring timely relief and recovery in times of crisis. The training is geared toward medical professionals, first responders, and logistics/security people.

It comprises of 6 videos, discussion questions and a once a week virtual touch point. We are hosting a SoCal virtual training and would love to have you, your colleagues and your friends who may want to do the training jump in. We’ve structured it so you can watch the videos and answer the reflection questions on your own time before the once a week meet up on zoom. Mike Gabelman and Kezia Cunalata will be our facilitators and discussion leaders.

Our first meet up time will be Friday November 5th, 7.30-9.30 pm. We set aside 2 hrs but will probably not use the whole time. You will have access to the videos on November 1st. It meets every Friday for 6 weeks (except for Thanksgiving week). Between classes there will be 1-2 hours of assignments to complete. Here is the link to sign up:
