Health Insurance Information Presentation –
Wednesday Nov. 13th @ 5:00 pm
Vermont Health Connect will present the latest updates for the 2020 Open Enrollment season. Topics include a review of health insurance basics, an overview of plans offered by Vermont Health Connect, some strategies for plan selection and a discussion of new developments in health care for 2020. Also included will be a discussion of financial assistance and how to apply. A question and answer period will wrap up the event.
"Repeopling Vermont" - Book Discussion with Author
Historian and author Paul Searls will discuss his new book, “Repeopling Vermont – The Paradox of Development in the Twentieth Century.” The book traces two distinct but interrelated stories to help illuminate the tension between progress and preservation in the last century, and how these forces continue to shape Vermont today. The presentation and discussion that follows will provide an opportunity for community members to learn about how the state has handled questions of development and immigration in the past, and how we might use those lessons to discuss a path forward to the future.
