Dear Parents and Families:

I am excited to announce we will be hosting the Scholastic Book Fair in April!  This event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school.

We will host a preview day for students at school on Friday, April 22nd so they can browse the book selection and create their wishlists. We will then be open for shopping on Monday, April 25th - Thursday, April 28th during your student’s library time. We will also be open to students and families to visit and shop after school on Monday, April 25th - Wednesday, April 27th from 3:45pm - 4:30pm.

We need parent volunteers to help set up and / or work during the book fair. If you are interested, please email Molly Walsh at fundraising@niwotptac.org.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Ms. Kelly

St. Vrain’s Unframed Student Art Show will be held at the Boulder County Fairgrounds from April 12-17. The event is free and open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily. Hey, innovators! We’re looking for students who are risk-takers, thinkers,  curious, persistent, creative, and interdependent. Join us at Innovation Academy for a week of design thinking, inquiry-based learning, and lots and lots of prototyping, where you’ll have tons of fun as we find solutions to the world’s most pressing issues! (Well… from the perspective of an elementary-aged student!) We’ll use the human centered process called Design Thinking to uncover needs, brainstorm ideas, and bring some of those ideas to life!  Check out this link for more information or to register! Registration opened March 14, and space is limited!

There will be a 3v3 charity basketball tournament and skills clinic at Niwot High School on April 9th and 10th.

April 9th will be for 6-8 graders, and April 10th the event will be for 2-5 graders. The times for both days will be 9AM-2PM, check-in will start at 8:30 AM.

Prior to the tournament, there will be an hour and a half skills session prior to the games. Games will begin at 10:45AM.

Each team is guaranteed 3 games where they will face opponents of the same grade. The teams will consist of 3-5 players where all of the players must be in the same grade. Anyone is welcome to join regardless of gender! Entrance fee is $70 per team (this is a flat fee regardless if the team is 3,4, or 5 players).

This tournament is part of a Niwot HS student CAS project and all proceeds from the tournament will be donated to a local charity.

There is a limited number of teams per grade. 8 teams are able to sign up within each grade. To sign up, please use one of the corresponding links that will take you to a google form listed below.
