We do not have set hours during the winter, but please call if you need anything! There is oftentimes someone in the office during the week.

HOLIDAY GIFTS @ Gardenwerks

A few ideas for that special gardener in your life...
Seed Sprouter $24.95                                                 Kitchen Garden Kit $29.95
Continue to grow your own food with one of these fun kits from Botanical Interests. Fresh sprouts and microgreens on a dreary winter day, oh my!
Scraper (Right & Left Hand) $17.00

A weeding tool that is light and sharp. The laminated high carbon steel blade can be used to scrape weeds along the surface of the soil in addition to being a useful digging tool.
Hori Knife $34.00

An all-purpose digging knife used for digging, transplanting, weeding and cutting. The carbon-steel blade is strong and can deal with heavy duty digging, especially in clay soils. One side is serrated to make cutting weeds, sod and small branches easier.

Remember, it's ok to buy yourself a holiday gift as well. If you don't already have these two tools in your shed then it's time to add them to your arsenal. Super sturdy and multi-functional, these are favorites among our gardening friends.

Get your creativity on by jazzing up your containers and hanging baskets for the winter. Just because we live in a place that gets a few weeks of tropical weather that our favorite annuals flowers actually like doesn't mean we can't fix up our containers for the bitter cold!

A few supplies to get you started:
  • Weather proof container or hanging basket
  • Potting soil
  • Evergreen boughs:  Douglas Fir, Spruce, Pines, Junipers, Cedar
  • Small evergreen trees
  • Decorative branches
  • Pinecones
  • Dried seed pods
  • Dried Flower heads (Sedums, Hydrangeas, Yarrow, Ornamental Oregano, Allium)
  • Berries, Rose hips
  • Dried grasses
  • Any other seasonal decor to accent arrangement
*Remember to empty and store any terra cotta or delicate ceramic pots in a protected place for the winter to prevent cracking.
