Justice for Sidney Richardson

Once again, the Tampa Police Department has taken the life of a black man living in the city. Sidney Richardson, 48, was killed on Saturday after the police responded to an incident. Richardson was a veteran from the Marines and was known to suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. We condemn the Tampa Police Department's failure to utilize de-escalation tactics and bring this man a sense of restorative justice. Instead, they extra-judicially executed him.
