The question we are all asking each other in the shop just now is "what can we do?"
For our friends, for our customers, for everyone?
As a bookshop we know that we aren't necessarily deemed "essential" and we have been feeling a bit lost these last few days as the global situation has been worsening.
But, we have decided to use our time and energy to try to do positive things.
It goes without saying that isolation will be incredibly tough for everyone and we've started calling a wee list of our customers who are staying at home for a daily catch up and to check they are ok. Anyone who has spent any time in the shop will know our girls love a natter and we might throw in uplifting poetry and stories too if you're that way inclined but mostly we'll just be chatting.
Would you like a call?
If you would like to hear from us then please, please let us know by replying to this email, calling us on the shop number 01397 705931 or texting (or calling) us on Sarah-Lou's new
Ring-A-Thon mobile number 07535703081.
If you know someone who might like to hear from us please forward this email to them or ask them to get in touch with us using the above info.
We want to make sure everyone can be confident it is us calling so we will give each person a time slot and promise it will always be the same voice you hear on the phone.
We are sticking with our normal opening hours for now but if you'd rather not come in the shop you can always give us a ring. We can get things together for you to collect from the shop door, we can deliver free-of-charge in the Fort William area or we can post things out to you.
