Note from Rev. Eileen Ramsey, our Guest Speaker this week.
Dear UCOG Family,
Almost twenty years ago, I worked for a company that introduced a marketing campaign entitled, “Unexpect the Expected.” Its purpose was to showcase to our existing and prospective clients that our developers and support staff could deliver products and services far beyond what they could expect from our competitors. Our commitment was that whatever the clients held in mind as “expected” would be exceeded. Some clients claimed that our products and services were nothing short of miraculous. Of course they weren’t miraculous, but rather the outworking of people dedicated to excellence, as they saw it.
We might think that a miracle is an event that seems inexplicable by natural or scientific laws, often attributed to the actions of a supernatural being, a miracle worker, or a saint. But in “Heart-Centered Metaphysics,” Rev. Dr. Paul Hasselbeck says that miracles do not exist! “There is no Divine Intervention supplanting natural law. Seeming miracles are the result of Divine Ideas, Principles and Laws of which we are not yet aware.”
Join me as we explore the ideas of apparent miracles this Sunday.
