We miss seeing our children on Sundays— Daniel, Grace, and the three sisters—Olivia, Roxanna, and Ariana, pictured here all dressed up in their Easter dresses! Check out those purses! We hope you will wear these lovely frocks when we are back together again!

This Sunday April 19th: Strength

Created and Led By UCOG Prayer Chaplains

We’ve just celebrated the Resurrection, the greatest demonstration of hope and renewal in Christianity. How fitting that Easter this year fell in the middle of one of the biggest crises our world has faced, and what a timely reminder that even in what seems like the darkest moments, God’s ever-renewing life is present. But the story doesn’t end with the Resurrection does it?  We must now weave this message of hope into the fabric of our lives, finding the faith and imagination to see beyond outer conditions to the truth of possibility.   This can be challenging as we deal with very real feelings of isolation, fear, anger, or even the specter of running out of toilet paper!  At times our frustrations can make us feel tired and overwhelmed. This is when we turn inward, affirming the inexhaustible source of Divine strength and courage available to us in every moment. We shall overcome this challenge and return to whatever our lives will look like afterwards with a deeper awareness of what we truly value.  Please join us online this Sunday, April 19, as the chaplain team guides us in readings and meditations to help us tap into the Divine strength that empowers us to move through the present situation with grace and resilience, and to thrive on the other side of it. Rev. Linda and Cathy Schwanke will be taking a much-deserved day off. They’ll be back the following Sunday rested and refreshed! The link to join our service on Zoom is shown above. Looking forward to “seeing” you all on Sunday!
In Light and Love,
UCOG Prayer Chaplains

As most of you know by now, our dear friend Mike Bailey passed away on April 5th. Mike was a much beloved member of our congregation. He was always, kind, gentle, generous, friendly and he was a great cook! He will be dearly missed. Our condolences go out to all of Mike's family and friends.
