A Note From Linda
In the height of World War II, the Daily Word for August 29th, 1942 was "Tolerance" and the message said:
Tolerance of the social, political, and religious beliefs and practices of other people is more than indifference. It is an attitude of friendly interest, a desire to see the other fellow's point of view. It may be even more than this, for we are often called upon to be forgiving in our tolerance. A healthy disagreement as to habits of thinking and living, as to secular and religious ideas, need not create intolerance. We should remember that our personal, national, and international life progresses only as it moves forward under the banner of freedom in thought, speech, and activity. Christ in us is our guard against destructive propaganda, and we are daily learning to sift out from a multitude of ideas those which are conducive to Christian unity and world peace.
Wise words. Join us this Sunday as we delve more deeply into this Wisdom of those who set such an inspiring example. Seems like this message could not be more timely! With much love, Linda

Begins THIS Sunday,
February 16 at 11:45
The Prayer Chaplains will lead a Healing Prayer Circle (HPC) based on focused intention and the limitless healing power of God. It will be held on the 3rd Sunday of every month after our worship service in the library starting this Sunday, February 16th.
Bring your healing intentions for yourself, others and the world to the Circle to harness the miraculous healing energies of a small group.
There will be time to attend this AND attend the Lunch & Learn which begins at noon.
Lunch and Learn:
The Gut-Brain Connection
with Alice Cooper
February 16 @ Noon
Join us for an introduction to the connection between our brain and our gut and how our microbes in the gut contribute to OR detract from our health. Bring your own lunch and join us for this very informative talk.
Annual Meeting & Potluck:
Sunday March 22 after our service
Another Annual Meeting So Soon?
Seems like we just had an annual meeting and now we have scheduled another, why? At the last annual meeting we voted to change the date of the annual meeting so we could 1) show ACTUAL budget numbers for the prior year and 2) have ACTUAL numbers for projecting/budgeting for the following year. The meeting on March 22nd will be simplly to go over the 2020 budget which was approved this week at the February board meeting. This simple agenda will allow us to have more time for our potluck and fellowship. Make plans to attend!
Check-In this Sunday!
Simply type the first few letters of your name and check the box next to your name. It really is that easy. Thank you for helping us update our records!
Gentlemen, because of the low attendance at the monthly men's group meeting, Dave Jenks asked for the Boards blessing to close the Men's Group. The Board has decided until interest peaks again, the Men's Group will no longer be meeting.
