December 2022 Newsletter
Feliz Navidad from the
Blue Mountains Camino Supporters
Admin Team.
We have loved sharing the Camino Spirit with you this year, it has been wonderful to hear from Pilgrims returning from their Camino. Sharing their camino stories with us, inspiring and supporting others planning their own journeys.

We look forward to the New Year and new adventures and memories with you all.

Have a safe and happy festive time and a wonderful new year!

Buen Camino!
Pilgrim Reflection
To feel the pull, the draw, the interior attraction and want to follow it, even if it has no name still, that is " the pilgrim spirit" The "why" only becomes clear as time passes, only long after the walking is over.

Our November Training Walk
Pilgrims joined us for two walks for our November Training Walk in Blackheath, the Easy route group headed to the Rhodo Gardens and returned via the Hat Hill Loop. The Medium Group, headed to Braeside Trail to Evans Lookout and the Cliff Top Walk before returning via Braeside Walk and Govetts Leap Creek to Glenella.
Our end of year "Camino Celebracion"
We had great fun hosting our first Camino Fair, sellers offered Camino Art, Handcrafted walking poles, headbands and more. It was very enjoyable, relaxing and a lovely way to celebrate the end of a busy year. We look forward to hosting this event again in 2023.

Our Camino Workshops provided an opportunity to make your own Waymarker, thanks to the great instruction from Les Simons and support from Rowan.  We also had a hands-on Santiago Tart making lesson thanks to Margaret and Carlene, Spanish Conversations with Elaine and Richard and finally Camino Jewelry making with Les.

The Camino Celebrations were finished off with a feast of Paella, salad Ensalada Mixta. and dessert and not forgetting Sangria.

A great way to round off our year of Camino Events at Glenella, thank you to Margaret and Rowan for providing Glenella, to Les, Elaine, Richard, Margaret and Carlene for hosting our Camino Workshops.

Congratulations to Mary who won her own Camino Waymarker in the fundraising raffle.
A special well done to the Waymarker makers, we look forward to sharing your finished and installed Waymarkers in coming newsletters.
Volunteer Portal
The Blue Mountains Camino Supporters have a Volunteer Portal to provide opportunities for the Camino Community to be involved in our local Camino events.

We relish being able to offer opportunities for people to give back to the Camino Community, in recognition of all the Camino has given to so many.
For instance, you may offer help in leading a walk/s, get involved in our Blue Mountains Camino 5-Day Walks and much more!  Thank you to those who have already registered, we appreciate your support.
