#TEENBOSS CHALLENGES YOUNG PEOPLE TO SUPPORT AND ADOPT ENTREPRENEURSHIP
A vibrant group of young people braved the Winter cold during the school holidays in order to join us for a one-day entrepreneur workshop, a session which we have dubbed ‘mini’ #TEENBOSS. The agenda for the day included discussions around the identification of business ideas, how to turn such ideas into businesses, and included essential elements such as how to market or promote a business, as well as how to manage a business’s finances.
There was a great deal of content to get through, but our team of young people made light work of all the detail, eager to take it all in and apply what they’ve learnt when they returned to their schools and communities.
It always is so rewarding at the end of such a session to see the keenness and passion, and above all the understanding and appreciation that entrepreneurship is able to change the grim economic positions which so many of our young people find themselves in.
Thank you to our venue sponsor, The River Club, for hosting our event.
If you are part of a youth group and wish to receive entrepreneur training and coaching, or you want more information about starting an Entrepreneur Society at your school, please do get in touch with us on 021 788 2775 or nadia.snyders@teenentrepreneur.co.za. Similarly, if you are in business and wish to support an Entrepreneur Society financially, or by means of coaching or mentoring, we would love to hear from you!
