After the year that was 2020 we’ve had a well-deserved break, and are back up and running with two weeks in the bag! Today we want to showcase some interesting jobs carried over from 2020, some new orders that are in progress, some specials we are running and introduce some exciting news for 2021! Brick Mould
Bricks… they are all around us but who really thinks about how they are made? Last year we took on a project to develop and manufacture a brick mould used to manufacture cement pavers. As I’m sure you can imagine bricks are made from extremely rough so when deciding on the materials, we opted for Hardox wear plate. Hardox is one of the worlds leading wear resistant steels and is used widely in the farming and agriculture industries. Unfortunately, this also means it is a real pain to work with but we were up to the challenge. With this order nearly complete it will now be going on to make well over 1 million bricks and hopefully some of those end up on your driveway one day! .
Reel Stand modification
A long-time customer needed a better solution for their reel stands. The existing units’ braking mechanism was not up to scratch. We have now completely retrofitted the frames with new shafts and billet machined brakes. Once these are completed, we will line them with brake fiber that is similar to the brakes found on your car! This solution should enable them to have much finer adjustment on the tension for their raw material when in production.

The Cat’s out the bag! Our reseller Tool Imports will be opening up a brand-new Teng Tools store in the beginning of February 2021 in Parden Island, Cape Town! It will be easier than ever to get your hands on some of our amazing tools!
