Thomas Jefferson's carefully crafted words, now more than 240 years old, introduced the bold and radical ideas of our forefathers as they sought to secede from Great Britain and form what is now the United States of America. Since that time, the country has weathered wars, financial depressions, and civil unrest. It has birthed great industry, fostered world-changing discoveries and technologies, afforded men and women of all races and backgrounds the right to vote, and propelled humans to walk on the moon.
