Art student Arden McMillin was awarded a 2019 LSU Discover undergraduate research grant for her photography project exploring southern towns post-Civil War.
Art students collaborated with the LSU Museum of Art Neighborhood Art Project, visiting communities with low resources for creative activities. Art students taught handbuilding, relief printing, sculpture, and painting to 60+ kids & adults!
The School of Interior Design collaborated with Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic in the fall 2018 semester, with a design workshop in Brno, and an exhibition in Baton Rouge.
Art students in professor Leslie Koptcho's Intro to Printmaking class worked on the Action: Adoption project with the Companion Animal Alliance, creating prints to help connect families looking to adopt/foster/rescue pets!
