SEMC Prayer Requests
John 15:1-17
  • As the March Break begins we ask that you pray for all of students and their families, some of whom will be travelling. Pray also for a good break for all those who work in our schools.
  • Thank you for your prayer for Amanda Thompson's mother.  Amanda has returned home. Her mom will continue under the care of doctors and physiotherapists as she recovers from a stroke. Your continued support is appreciated.
  • Thank you for your prayer for Christine Giffin's sister.  Please continue to pray for God's comfort to be made known to all of them during these days.
  • Continue to pray for Mimi Ettinger.  She has moved to the Albany Residence in Petrolia to continue her recovery. Your prayer for wisdom and peace for Mimi and her family is appreciated.
  • Our Upward Basketball Game Days have moved into the second half of the season. In your conversations with Jesus, would you talk to him about the children and families we will be serving; that they would be encouraged and challenged by the grace and truth of Jesus? Please also consider talking to Jesus about being involved in some capacity (coach, assistant coach, referee, helper). Contact Theresa Siertsema if interested: theresas@sarniaemc.org
  • Would you talk to Jesus, asking Him to draw people into a deeper relationship with God. For some that will mean a first time decision to trust Christ as Saviour. For others it's a willingness to be obedient to the Lord in baptism. For others it will mean steward their resources to serve others sacrificially. The Christmas season can also be particularly difficult for those who miss loved ones. May God be their comfort in these days.
  • Let's pray for one another. We must continue to be pro-active in caring for one another, our friends and neighbours as well as ourselves. May we do our part in helping, protecting and enhancing the well-being of others, while being mindful of how we can serve those in need with the grace and truth of Jesus.  (SPRinG)
  • As the one year mark of the war in Ukraine comes closer, there are many areas for us to be in conversation with Jesus. We need to pray for those left behind, those left alone, for children, the elderly and the poor who can not defend themselves. At this pace, it is believed that every family in Ukraine, will have directly been impacted by the death of a loved one as We need to be in prayer for people on both sides of the border. We need to pray for the peace of Jesus among nations and within people.
  • We give thanks for the opportunity to serve the needs of local agencies. Let's continue to ask God to lead us to the places where His resources can be best used for His Kingdom work in our community.
  • The St. Clair Community Church in Sombra, ON, are in a Search Process for a Lead Pastor.  Pray to God for wisdom and direction throughout this process.
  • Let's also be in prayer for our denominational leadership (EMCC).
  • Let's continue to pray for our community in regards to the proposed closing of Enbridge Line 5. We give thanks for recent movement on this, on a federal level, on both sides of the border. Pray for our civic, provincial and federal officials as they negotiate solutions.
