A bunch of tales I wanted to share with you

A tale I heard

Poet Carol Ann Duffy on something she's always wanted to do for schools:

“What I'd like to do is create anthologies for other school subjects – for history, for geography, for maths. I think poetry can help children deal with the other subjects on the curriculum by enabling them to see a subject in a new way. So you'd have a maths lesson, and the teacher would hand out a poem about mathematics. Poetry is a different way of seeing something, and seeing a subject in a different way is often a very good tool to better learning.”

A tale I wrote

Geoff spent all day making a cupcake.
Well, it wasn't so much a cupcake,
it was more just a cake.
Well, it was less a cake,
it was more just a mess.
Well, it wasn't really a mess,
it was more just a really bad decision.
Basically, Geoff killed a guy.
