A tale I heard

Actor and comedian Katy Wix on writing about grieving a friend:

"It’s written about less – what it’s like to lose a best friend. You don’t get a word for it, like orphan. When I say, ‘I lost my friend’, it doesn’t cover it. But if I say, ‘I lost my best friend’, it just sounds like I’m 10 years old."

A tale I saw

A tale I wrote

John Virgo
poked his peas
around his plate
with the butt
of his knife
and sighed about
the good old days.

A book I'm in

I'm incredibly chuffed to be included in The Book of Hope by Jonny Benjamin and Britt Pflüger.

My piece on mental health and self-harm sits alongside short articles and essays from the likes of Dame Kelly Holmes, Gail Porter, Rylan, Joe Wicks, Elizabeth Day, Lemn Sissay and 94 other legends. Click here to grab a copy today, if you like.
