A bunch of tales I wanted to share with you

A tale I read

You Reminded Me by Tom Bland
[You Reminded Me by Tom Bland]

A tale I heard

Artist Austin Kleon on energy and painter Pablo Picasso:

"Pablo Picasso was notorious for sucking the energy out of the people he met. His granddaughter Marina claimed that he squeezed people like one of his tubes of oil paints. You'd have a great time hanging out all day with Picasso, and then you'd go home nervous and exhausted, and Picasso would go back to his studio and paint all night, using the energy he'd sucked out of you."

A tale I saw

A Handful of People by Richard Watkins

A tale I wrote

I still think
about those chickens,

even the one
who liked pecking my boots

as I poured water
from a discarded milk bottle

as the sun cooked my skin,
scrambling my brain

as a 4-year-old told me
I said there would be three eggs

when we both knew
he said Four or five or six..
