A bunch of tales I wanted to share with you

A tale I read

My Beloved by Charles Simic

A tale I heard

Walking In The Air singer Aled Jones on how he got into being a radio presenter:

"It’s Terry Wogan’s fault. I remember telling him I wanted his job, so one day on The Wogan Show, he got me to interview him, and it was the most cringe-worthy thing in the world. He answered every question with the words ‘Prince Philip’ in front of about 10 million people, but I enjoyed the process."

A tale I saw

Hey Deer! by Ors Barczy

A tale I wrote

It’s always your eyelashes.
The pines of a Christmas tree
twinkling from the headlights of buses
driving past our window. Broom heads
ready to get to work. It’s always
your eyelashes and the way they curve
to the straightness of a death slide
on a south Devon holiday. A sunflower
folding in half. A family of spiders giggling
on their backs. It’s always your eyelashes:
miniature rakes dragging me in. .
