A tale I heard

Actor June Brown on whether she is like her EastEnders character Dot Cotton:

“There’s not an awful lot of me in Dot. Dot’s got quite a high opinion of herself, I don’t think I have. Also, I’m not a gossip. In my life – and Dot certainly wasn’t like this – I did have a lot of love affairs. The only way I am like Dot is in my feelings about spirituality. I had my horoscope done, and the gentleman said that on a certain date I would have a spectacular success. And that was May 31, 1985, and that turned out to be the first day I was in EastEnders.”

A tale I wrote

The job interview was a complete success.
Sure, he didn't think he'd be offered the role,
Martin never got offered the role after interviews,
but it was the first one in 15 years
that he didn't puke all over the panel,
accidentally pour fresh tea on his neck and cock,
or flat out scream for 45 minutes straight.
He couldn't have felt prouder.
In fact, if he was offered the role,
Martin decided he'd flat out reject it.
That's how bloody great he felt.
