A bunch of tales I wanted to share with you

A tale I heard

Actor Emma Stone on life lessons she's learnt:

“It’s OK if not everybody likes you. And that doesn’t make it more appealing to convince them of why you are likeable. It’s interesting, you saying about the public persona of my ‘charm’ or whatever. Part of that is my damage, you know. Part of that is my flaw. So that was a major lesson, not falling over myself to win over the unwinnable. [And] nobody knows what they’re doing! We’re all just a bunch of people trying to figure out how to get through the day.

A tale I wrote

Home is a fiery head.
Two burnt eyes
from seeing too many people.

Home is the last tube.
Packed inside like the boozy innards
of a Saturday night sausage,
tomorrow's hangovers knitted together
by a shared blue thread.

Home is your Winnie the Pooh hands
scooping me up like honey
from an almost empty pot.
