Dear AAPIP Community,

We're happy to share the updated speaker lineup which now includes Fahd Ahmed of Desis Rising Up and Moving (DRUM), Chhaya Chhoum of Mekong NYC and Southeast Asian Freedom Network, and Alex T. Tom of Center for Empowered Politics. Learn about the grassroots multiracial movement to build #EconomicDemocracy and #CollectiveEconomy in Queens after the recent Amazon HQ2 campaign. Learn about Southeast Asian community organizing in the Bronx and how it connects to a national collective of Southeast Asian organizers fighting targeted deportations in Vietnamese and Cambodian communities across the United States. What does it take for communities to resist anti-democratic forces and to lead in building a new vision for justice and belonging?

Join us in New York City on May 21 for these conversations and more. If you need a hotel room, remember to book by April 26 for the discounted room rate!
