#Stand4Danny and fight his deportation! Danny Thongsy was a speaker and tour leader on the AAPI Crimmigration Learning Tour as part of AAPIP's 2018 National Network Convening. He is an Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Asian Law Caucus Yuri Kochiyama Fellow and a leader with Asian Prisoner Support Committee, which provides direct support to Asian and Pacific Islander incarcerated people and raises awareness about the growing number of APIs who are being imprisoned, detained, and deported. Danny's story exemplifies the critical needs and grave reality facing community members who are caught in the school to prison to deportation pipeline. Please support Danny

Submit your public comment opposing the Trump Administration’s backdoor attack on immigrant family reunification. Under this proposal, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) could deny a green card to nearly anyone who falls on hard times and uses legally available public programs including SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), housing assistance, and Medicaid. Community clinics and service providers are reporting that immigrants are already disenrolling from basic safety net programs out of fear. Take action by clicking here and submitting your public comment by December 10!  Note to funders:  Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees (GCIR) has prepared funder-specific resources including talking points and guidelines for foundations to submit public comments.
