Will you remember summer 2019?

Summer is always a great time to build memories with family and friends. A special weekend, a great concert, a fantastic meal or a new experience are all great ways to lock down a time frame. The best memories are the ones that we all share. And these are best if they are taken out and dusted off periodically - maybe at another memory making event!

There are still a number of opportunities to see some great live shows and have a unique, memorable experience. And we have a couple of CONCERT ANNOUNCEMENTS!

You can still pick up a brochure of all our events at the Dominion Hotel. Perfect for the fridge door.

Don't forget our weekly food specials;

Monday 1/2 price wings
Tuesday Seniors (at 60) Day and 1/2 price Desserts after 7
Wednesday Dog Day - $1 off any of our Dogs
Thursday Burger Day - $1 off any of our delicious hand made steak burgers
Friday Fish and Chips for $9.99

All prices plus HST. Details at Dominion Menu

As always, if you have any questions about what is going on at "The D" or around town send us an email and we'll get you an answer.

And thank you for your continued support of the Dominion.

Concert Announcement!
Dominion Hotel, one of Ontario’s oldest operating food and accommodation providers will present one of Canada’s oldest Rock ’n Roll Bands, Canadian music icons and legends, CROWBAR, in an intimate evening concert on September 14, 2019 at 7:30pm.

CROWBAR’s origins go back to the Ronnie Hawkins band. They recorded their first album in 1970, called Official Music, as “King Biscuit Boy and Crowbar”.

In 1971, the band recorded a sold-out performance at the historic Massey Hall in Toronto, which was released as a double album, Larger than Life (and Live'r Than You've Ever Been). The recording and release of the album made Canadian history as the first time a band had recorded and released a "live in concert" album as well as a radio simulcast across Canada (on CHUM FM).

CROWBAR's rousing rock, blues and boogie made it one of Canada's most popular touring bands of the early 1970s.

The band is excited to be rekindling some of that old rock and roll spirit and just like vintage wines they have only gotten better with age.

Concert Announcement!
Well we've finally worked out a date and we're very pleased to announce that Ray Montford will be with us along with special guest Lynn Moffatt on September 21st.

Ray Montford’s powerful original tunes are characterized by a wild and raw beauty. Often inspired by the human condition, his instrumental compositions paint haunting canvasses that are rich in imagery, leaving an indelible mark on the listener. Blurring boundaries between rock, blues, jazz and folk, his electric work and phrasing are reminiscent of the great British guitarists David Gilmour and Jeff Beck, while his deft open-tuning acoustic work creates seamless chord-melodies. But regardless of context, the most striking aspect of Montford’s artistry is that he finds countless ways to convey emotion through his compositions and soulful playing, letting his instrument sing and wringing emotion from every note. In the end, it’s all about taking the listener on an unforgettable journey.

Toronto based singer/songwriter, Lynn Moffatt is known for her electric live performance and soul-filled voice.  Born and raised in Capreol outside Sudbury in Northern Ontario, Moffatt always knew she was destined to explore the highs and lows of life as an inquisitive, creative, wanderer. In her lyrics, she reflects on matters of spirit and social issues.  Her ideas are often controversial, political, comical, and emotional.  Her voice is strong but can also be very delicate as if it were a combination of clean country Patsy Cline and Shania Twain, and attitude blues like Bonnie Raitt and Tracy Chapman.
