Autocross Update

Hi all,

Our season has started! It was great to see everyone that was able to come out for the final Carlson Center autocross events- I met new people, saw interesting new cars, and got to shake out the cobwebs from a long winter of snow and going sideways on Big Lake. It was a little worrisome headed out in the middle of a snowstorm, but the weather mostly cooperated and the events went off well. A big shout out to Terrance Pearson for chairing, and all those who helped make these events possible.
Below are the draft results:

These folks make our events possible-thank you!
With our season given an appropriate start, we start looking towards to our next events-
Autocross #3: April Showers Bring Horsepowers will be on this Saturday, April 27th. You can register here.

Our first ever Starting Line School will be held on May 4th. This is a great opportunity for drivers of all skill levels, with an emphasis for those new to the sport. You can register here.

On a different note, we will not be having an event at Tok on August 17th and 18th as we had planned; instead, we will be returning to the Peninsula for events on those dates at Skyview Middle School!

One thing we really need is someone to chair our July 6th and 7th events- I will be out of state, and our volunteers are spread thin- we are hoping someone can step up so that we don't have to cancel the event. Please feel free to contact me for more info.

Rallycross Update

Great News!
The Arctic Alaska SCCA is happy to announce that we have received a conditional use permit to hold rallycrosses at the Alaska State Fairground in Palmer! A big shout out to VJ Maisonet and Kent Hamilton for leading the charge on this effort! More details will be provided as rallycross season approaches.
One way to save wear and tear on tires is to give one a break every now and again.
