Harvest weekend

Our services on Sunday 25 September will look at the theme of the environment from a biblical perspective. To prepare for the weekend you might like to take on the Tearfund Let's Change the Climate Challenge – a week of simple daily challenges, information and prayer points ideal for individuals or families. https://www.tearfund.org/campaigns/the-lets-change-the-climate-challenge

Harvest Festival flowers

This year the flower team are going to decorate the church on Saturday 24 September before we celebrate our harvest festival on Sunday. We would be grateful to receive any homegrown produce, lovely foliage, berries and garden flowers on the Saturday morning to make the church beautiful for our celebration.

Women Together Breakfast

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our first event after the summer break on Saturday 8 October 8.30–10.30am in the church.
Join us for breakfast and an opportunity to chat and deepen our connections as we explore together the theme of confidence. We'll do this through bible reflection, testimony from a cross section of women and time to consider together how it applies into our own lives. (We plan to continue with this theme at our breakfast on February 25th through more of a workshop style approach.) Encourage friends along and help make it welcoming and safe for each other. We'll provide tea, coffee, juice and pastries as well as a healthy alternative. Follow the link to sign up Women Together Breakfast (08-Oct-2022) · ChurchSuite Events

Lindfield Christian Care Home is 30

Lindfield Christian Care Home was set up 30 years ago by a team comprising members of Lindfield’s three churches. The staff continue to provide a warm, caring environment with a Christian ethos at the care home in Compton House. They are supported by volunteers including some from our church. Our annual service of thanksgiving will take place at the United Reformed Church on Sunday November 6th at 3pm, followed by refreshments. The speaker will be Rev Steve Nichols. All are welcome to come and celebrate our 30th anniversary.

MISSION
Mission Partner Focus: Ian & Anne-Marie (OMF)

Give thanks for
  • For the birth of Michael (son) and Noelle’s first baby, a girl, on Sept. 15, in Birmingham Alabama. (A granddaughter for us and great granddaughter for Rolf and Betty Lloyd-Williams)
  • For over 100 people registered for the conference Anne-Marie is organizing for OMF personnel from around the world working with East Asian Diaspora likely to return to their home country.
  • For opportunities God has opened for ministry among Vietnamese contract workers in Singapore in recent months and those working together to do it.
  • For visas for another family to head to Vietnam at the end of this month.
Please pray
  • For Ian starting to teach a course on Church Planting and Discipleship at All Nations from Monday 26th Sept. and each Monday until 28th Nov. Pray as he delivers all the lectures in October remotely as he will be in East Asia.
  • Pray for the two conferences Ian and Anne-Marie are attending in October in Thailand. The first mentioned above Oct 2-10, which Anne-Marie is chairing the planning committee for. Pray for safe travel for all involved, for health for all the participants and for encouragement and inspiration from God’s word, and times of prayer and sharing together. The second Oct 10-14, is for people more broadly involved with ministry to East Asians outside their home country, and Ian is on the planning committee. Pray particularly for the Thai joining the conference involved in work among other East Asians in Thailand, including Vietnamese.
  • Pray for Ian and other members of the search committee for a new General Director for OMF as they assess candidates in Singapore at the end of October.
