At 10.45am in All Saints on Sunday we will be holding our short Annual Meeting of Parishioners to appoint our churchwardens for the year ahead. I am enormously grateful to Katie Spensley and Laurence Trigwell for their tremendous hard work and careful leadership over the last year (and more!) and look forward to saying a proper 'thank you' to them on Sunday. Laurence will be hanging up his churchwarden's boots for a well-earned rest, but I am delighted that Katie is willing to serve another year. I am also very pleased that Kevin Hargin, who currently serves on the PCC, is willing to stand as churchwarden. Please pray for them and their families.
At 8.00pm on Monday 25 April we will hold our Annual Parochial Church Meeting in All Saints and on Zoom. Zoom details, our agenda and the Annual Report for 2021 are available on the church website at: www.allsaintslindfield.org/apcm there are also a few paper copies of the report still available in the church porch. As mentioned last week, if you would like to stand for the church council please pick up a nomination form from the Church Office. If you would like to ask a question at the meeting, please pass it on to Sarah Hagger in the Church Office by 5.00 m today, Friday. Hopefully this will allow a little time to prepare a helpful answer.

Churchwardens’ Discretionary Fund
You may be aware we have a Churchwardens’ Discretionary Fund which is available to provide short-term financial help to members of our church family who are in need. We are aware that with increased costs of living at present there may well people who would benefit.
Thanks to kind donations from our church family we are in a position to offer donations, so if you are struggling or need any assistance at this time please don’t hesitate to contact us in confidence. Please do approach one of the Churchwardens or any of the clergy or pastoral team. Katie Spensley

Thank you to all who have given generously to the OM appeal. In recent weeks OM have assisted more than 100,000 refugees; helping with food, transport and temporary shelter. Safe spaces have been set up at busy border crossings with Poland, including comfortable trailers to care for vulnerable women and children. These are a lifeline for families that have endured long and stressful journeys. Permission was granted to set up a circus tent on the border between Ukraine and Moldova to serve those standing in the long queues for immigration. This provides a place to eat, drink, rest and recharge mobile phones.
Please continue to pray for this work, particularly for OM workers actually in Ukraine as they face many risks each time they leave their homes.
If you would like to have a copy of OM’s latest report please contact Ron Goodenough (01444 417002 or rongoodenough@outlook.com).
Donations to the OM appeal can be make on-line (https://www.uk.om.org/appeal/ukraine-in-crisis) or by putting your gift in an envelope marked ‘Ukraine’ and placing in the offertory.

MISSION Mission Partner Focus: Lucy with YWAM in Thanet
In June our new team member, Ashley (USA) will arrive in the UK. She will do some further training at YWAM Holmsted Manor, before moving to Thanet in September.
So many of the people we were praying with, pre-COVID, were shielding. In the last three months we have been able to reconnect in person, praying for our area. We are also meeting in person for prayer breakfasts, ministers and praying and ministering with the wider church across the area.
We really want to minister to and bless our local church leaders with a ministry day/retreat. This is a burden that we are carrying and connecting with Epiphany music to try to bring this (and other creative ministries) about.
After two years of waiting, our women’s project, Gather, is up and running. We are in the middle of training our first cohort of volunteers. We will have a team of nine to start with for our soft launch of the drop-in on Friday 6 May. Our hope is that all our guests will get a sense of hope, joy or encouragement. We have had a really good response from local agencies and can't wait to see who our guests will be!
We would love to further develop outreach at the local festivals (Regatta Week) and (Folk Week). Next summer we would love to have outreach teams staying in local churches and reaching out during these festivals! Please pray that all the connections and possibilities become clear!
On a personal note: We will be joining the All Saints group at Big Church Day Out!
