Ascension Day

There will be a Communion service at 10.30am on Thursday 26 May to mark Ascension Day, please do join us. We will have coffee and biscuits after the service in church, as we enjoy some relaxed fellowship together.

Jubilee Plans

Thursday 2 – Sunday 5 June is a four-day Bank Holiday to celebrate Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee. It coincides with the Big Church Day Out, Pentecost and Village Day. Nevertheless, we will be celebrating!

Village Day Saturday 4 June
Many thanks to all those who have offered to man our stall on Village Day. The office will be in touch soon with a rota. Thank you! Our pitch will be a rest hub, rather than a 'tea tent'. We hope to meet and chat to people as well as having some Jubilee souvenir booklets with a gentle Christian message.
Needed: If you have a portable power pack which we could plug an electric keyboard into, please do let the office know. We'd love to have some live music at our pitch.
Jubilee Service 11.15am, Sunday 5 June
Do invite friends and neighbours as we thank God for the Queen's remarkable life of service and the Saviour who has inspired her.
Garden Party Sunday 5 June
The Jubilee weekend is a great opportunity to host a garden party for your friends and neighbours. Ideas and resources for doing that are available here:
We'll be having a garden party in the Vicarage garden, 2.00-4 .00pm on Sunday 5 June for our neighbours and any church family who'd like to come. Unfortunately, we'll have to limit numbers a little, so please sign up on the clipboard on the Bible trolley at the back of church.

Church flowers
Some of the flower team will be arranging the church to mark both the Jubilee and Pentecost which are on the same weekend.

Team Live Stream

Live streamed services have been a life-line to many throughout Covid and continue to meet a need – each week around 30 users watch live, with many more catching up later. From June, we will no longer have enough operators to continue to broadcast our 11.15am service each week.
As we consider the next steps for live-streaming of Sunday services, I'd be grateful to hear from you if you might be able to help with this ministry. It's much simpler than it sounds, equivalent to operating a TV remote and of course training can be provided.

Seasons of Change: New interview

The next in our series is an interview with Diane Flint. She reflects on the ways God has changed her and deepened her faith through losing her husband in her early 50s. All testimony is encouraging, so do watch and listen. And think about passing it on to anyone who might find it of comfort. All our seasons of change stories so far can be found on the women's ministry page of the website at:
Each piece aims to help us grow in love and understanding of each other as the body of Christ suffers and rejoices together.
