Dorothea Crewe

A warm welcome to Dorothea Crewe and her family  and friends attending her baptism at the 9.30am service this Sunday.

Monthly prayer meeting

Please join us for our whole church prayer meeting on Wednesday 24 August at 8.00pm in the church. Do join us from 7.45pm to share a drink together.
Just a reminder that the prayer meeting will move to the first Wednesday of the month from September. So our next one will be just two weeks later on Wednesday 7 September.

Drop-in café

We've got two more Mondays in August when we are running a drop-in café in the Tiger lounge. We are open from 9.00am until 12noon. It's a simple opportunity to pop out and have a chat with others. Why not invite a friend who might otherwise be on their own? If you've got little ones, there will be a small area for them to have a play too.
During this time (9.30–10.30am) we'll also be running English language lessons for our Ukrainian friends in some other rooms in the Tiger. Do come along for a cuppa, catch up and a chance to meet new people, both from here and Ukraine.

Family Support Work food donation box reminder

We have a food donation box just inside the porch at church. If you would like to donate non-perishable food items, please leave them in the box and items will be collected regularly. The charity is happy to take any non-perishable, in-date, items but is particularly in need of: cleaning products, washing powder, baking ingredients (or packet cake mix), tinned pasta and jam/other spreads.

Men United breakfast

The next Men United event is a breakfast on Saturday 10 September at 8.30am in the church and our time together will Include an interview with Bob Harrison. Pastries are once again provided by Sussex Kitchen – there will be a selection to choose from on the day so no pre-ordering is required. Please book a place online at: Men United Breakfast (10-Sep-2022) · ChurchSuite Events by Wednesday 7 September at the latest. If you are unable to book online, please call the church office. There is no set price for this event, instead there is a suggested donation of £5.

Welcome Tea

We are inviting all those who are new to All Saints to a welcome tea on Sunday 18 September at 3.45pm. If you would like to come, the link to book in is:  Welcome tea (18-Sep-2022) · ChurchSuite Events or please contact Sarah Hagger in the church office on 482405.

Church Harvest Supper

You are warmly welcome to a light supper and after-dinner talk on Saturday 24 September from 7.30–9.30pm as part of our harvest weekend. With climate change, food shortages and rising prices, our theme this year will be, 'Loving Your Neighbour through Caring for Creation'. We will enjoy a light supper together followed by an engaging presentation. No charge, but donations on the night. However, you will need to book a place in advance by clicking the following link: or by phoning the church office on 01444 482405.

'My Questions'

What should it feel like to be a Christian? Does prayer actually make a difference? Does the Christian faith have anything to do with my workplace? Why don't I enjoy reading the Bible?
This autumn you are invited to explore questions about the Christian faith that you always wanted to ask, but perhaps never felt able to. We'll select one question to explore together each week over a meal. If you have a question, please do add it to the mix. Either fill out a paper form on Sunday, or follow the link below and submit your question online, anonymously if you wish:  We'll meet on Wednesdays in September. Further details, including start date and how to join will he published in the new few weeks.

Family Support Work Autumn supper

Join us for our annual supper to raise money and awareness for FSW on Friday 23 September at 7.00pm at Wivelsfield Village Hall. It promises to be a superb night with friends – with supper, including a fabulous array of puddings – and local entertainment.
It would be wonderful for our churches to show their support and come as a group booking. This year, tables will be seated in groups of eight. We will have a cash bar and a raffle on the night. Tickets cost £15 each. To book or for more information please contact Vic Donougher or Victoria Hersey or leave a message via the church office on 01444 482405.
