Please join us for our whole church prayer meeting on Wednesday 24 August at 8.00pm in the church. Do join us from 7.45pm to share a drink together. It is wonderful to see so many gather to pray each month, but the pattern has not solved the clash with PCC weeks and is confusing to many. Therefore, going forward our church prayer meetings will be on the first Wednesday evening of the month (starting Wednesday 7 September), 8.00-9.00pm in the church. Please do put them in your diary.
No café this Monday
Our drop-in cafe and language lessons won't be meeting this Monday 29th, as it's a Bank Holiday, and has now closed for now.

What's Your Question?
Heaven sounds like it’s going to be a really long church service; I’m not sure I want to go there forever! What does the Bible say about eternity?
Sometimes I get excited by the Gospel. At other times I am discouraged. Most of the time Jesus feels like a nice idea, but a long way off! What should I feel like as a Christian?
If God is both all-powerful and all-loving why does He allow suffering in the world?
We all have questions about the Christian faith. Thank you for the 40-50 questions submitted recently. Six have been selected and we consider them together over six weeks in the autumn, Wednesday nights 14th September to 26thOctober. A mixture of upfront teaching and small-group discussion. Food from 7.30pm. Start at 8.00pm, finish by 9.00pm. Please sign-up so we know numbers for food. (Free, but donation to cover food on the night).
Seniors advice and support workshop
A ‘cost of Living' information, advice and support workshop for seniors will be held on Thursday 6 October at 10.00amin the church.
Citizens Advice Bureau, Age UK and West Sussex Carers Support will all be sharing advice and information. The event is open to all. If you have any particular personal worries about current cost of living issues, please talk to me confidentially or leave a message and I will phone you back. Carrie Britton: 07902 285436
Fellowship lunch thanks
A sincere thanks again to the preparations, cooking, and serving and clearing up teams that made the Fellowship lunch for the 11.15am congregation such a delight. Thank you especially to those who brought puddings on one of the hottest days of the month. Carrie

PRAYER Prayer for our community and nation
Please join us on Saturday mornings, 8.45am to 9.30am at Lindfield Evangelical Church.
Day of Prayer
On Friday 16 September Lindfield Evangelical Free Church will be open between 2.00pm – 6.00pm for prayer. Mervyn Weeks, Pastor at LEFC has invited members from All Saints and Lindfield URC to join those from LEFC to pray for our nation and our world. With so much going on; war in Ukraine, tension in Taiwan, cost of living crisis, a new Prime Minister, there is no better time to be reminded that the Lord Jesus is King and we can pray to our Father in confidence.
