This Sunday we will gather again to give thanks to God and to pray for our king and for our nation. We will have a special 11.15am service on the eve of the Queen's funeral. All Saints will be open as usual during the day for private prayer. A book of condolence is available to sign. Steve Nichols, Vicar
No coffee after 9.30am service
As we are in a period of national mourning, we will not be having coffee/tea and the toys available after the 9.30am service again this Sunday, to allow a time of quiet and reflection ahead of the 11.15am service.
The church office will be closed on Monday 19 September.
Please remember to send all your items for publication to BOTH these email addresses: asn@lindfield.info and allsaints@lindfield.info

Start at 8.00pm, finish by 9.00pm. Please sign up at the back of church if you want to come and have a meal(free, but donation to cover food on the night).

We are looking forward to welcoming you to our first event after the summer break on Saturday 8 October 8.30–10.30am in the church.
Join us for breakfast and an opportunity to chat and deepen our connections as we explore together the theme of confidence. We'll do this through bible reflection, testimony from a cross section of women and time to consider together how it applies into our own lives. (We plan to continue with this theme at our breakfast on February 25th through more of a workshop style approach.) Encourage friends along and help make it welcoming and safe for each other. We'll provide tea, coffee, juice and pastries as well as a healthy alternative. Follow the link to sign up Women Together Breakfast (08-Oct-2022) · ChurchSuite Events

World Council of Churches
Grace Thompson, part of the All Saints church family, recently attended the World Council of Churches conference in Germany. She writes: "It was great you be part of the conference with a particular focus on the Ecumenical Disabilities Advocacy Network meetings. I was able to contribute to discussions and papers about inclusion in the worldwide church. Going forward I am involved in a new group to encourage inclusion of those who are neurodiverse and have hidden disabilities. This is focused in Europe, initially. Thank you for your support and prayers."
Richard and Elaine Browning
Richard and Elaine Browning will be leaving Haywards Heath on 22 September, moving to be nearer their daughter in Poole. They would like to thank all those in All Saints with whom they have enjoyed fellowship over nearly 38 years.
Men United Breakfast – postponed

Student Prayer Card
It’s that time of the year when many of young people are heading back to Universities/Colleges and others starting for the first time. We want to be supporting them in prayer, so have produced a prayer card with the names of the students and where they are studying – please help yourself to one from the back of church or contact the church office. MISSION Mission Partner Focus: Jonny and Olga Anderson
Praise that Jonah has been able to secure a place at a UK boarding school
Praise that the three children seem happy at school and pray that they would join and thrive in the Christian meetings
Pray for Jonny and Olga to settle into this new stage without children at home and that they’d be able to develop many of the open-ended ministry opportunities that they have
Pray that they would be encouraging this Sunday as they visit the provincial town of Tomina and encourage the new church there
Pray for wisdom for Olga as she decides what to do about the Thursday club with disadvantaged children. None of them can read and there are no early years reading books
Pray for Jonny as he prepares talks on the parables in Luke over the next two month. Pray that the listeners and Jonny himself would be transformed.
PRAYER Prayer for our community and nation
Please join us on Saturday mornings, 8.45am to 9.30am at Lindfield Evangelical Church.
Day of Prayer TODAY
This afternoon Friday 16 September Lindfield Evangelical Free Church will be open between 2.00pm – 6.00pm for prayer. Mervyn Weeks, Pastor at LEFC has invited members from All Saints and Lindfield URC to join those from LEFC to pray for our nation and our world. With so much going on; war in Ukraine, tension in Taiwan, cost of living crisis, a new Prime Minister, there is no better time to be reminded that the Lord Jesus is King and we can pray to our Father in confidence.
