Dear Friends,
Throughout the week at Lisieux Community, we see more and more women making their way to the drop-in center. As the summer temperatures rise, the women stop by more frequently to pick-up cold water, grab a piece of fresh fruit, or just soak up the air conditioning for a few minutes.
Mondays continue to be busy with more women taking showers and staying longer periods of time, again, to find respite out of the sun. While we thought that maybe we would see less women on Thursday nights because of the heat, we are not finding that to be true. Why? Because they have nowhere else to go.
In order to support our summer efforts, we are launching an online auction that includes four packages:
