Mindfulness Mondays
May 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 1:00-2:00 PM Each week instructor Deb Biechler will address a different mindfulness topic, including breathing techniques, gratitude journaling, stress reduction, emotional triggers, increasing focus and attention, and cultivating kindness towards yourself and others.
Free Comic Book Day
Saturday, May 6th HPL is a participating location for Free Comic Book Day! Stop by the Library on Saturday, May 6th to pick up a free comic book, while supplies last.
Reptile Education
Monday, May 8th at 6:00 PM
Meet Mike and Sarah, owners of a new Mauston business, Wonderland Reptiles. Get a HANDS-ON look at live reptiles while learning about the animals, how to care for them, and if reptiles might make a good pet for you.
Puzzle Race
Monday, May 15th at 6:00 PM
Be the first team to complete a 300 piece puzzle and win a $50 Milk + Sugar gift card! Stop by or call the library to Register your team of 4 or less competitors. Competition slots are almost full - sign up now!
Mystery at the Library
Monday, May 22nd, 4:00-6:00 PM It's Mystery May! Put your sleuthing skills to use as you solve clues and become a library detective! Mysterious fun for the whole family!
Public Works Week Storytime
Tuesday, May 23rd at 10:00 AM Celebrate National Public Works Week with Hatch Public Library and Mauston Public Works! Join us inside for a truck themed storytime before heading outside to get an up close look at Mauston's trucks!
Teen Perler Beads & Popcorn

Afternoon Book Club

Anyone is welcome to be part of our Afternoon Book Club. This month's title is The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.
Coloring Contest
May 1st-31st For ages 0-13. Pick up a coloring sheet at the library or download here. Turn in to HPL by May 31st to be entered to win! Winners will be selected in 3 categories: Ages 0-4, Ages 5-9, and Ages 10-13. Winners will receive a prize pack perfect to kick off summer with a kite, jump rope, and scoop of Culver's custard!
Storytime Friends
Tuesdays at 10:00 AM Join us for stories, songs, activities, and more! Great for ages 2-4 with a caregiver. Storytime meets in the community room.

Handprint Bouquet Create It Kit
Create your own art project! Stop by the Library to pick up the materials needed to create a fun flower project, while supplies last.
