Happy Spring
The warm days are inviting us outside to celebrate our community.
Grants that Get People Outside
The Community Foundation is pleased to award grants that get people outside.
Here are few recent awards that celebrate springtime in Muncie and Delaware County.
Students in Holly Summer's seventh-grade science class at Yorktown Middle School were able to grow microgreens indoors to get an early taste of Spring with the support of a Robert P. Bell Education Grant.
The Cardinal Greenway provides our community with an opportunity for recreation and fitness. The Community Foundation partners with Cardinal Greenways by managing designated funds for their benefit and through a variety of grants.

What's your favorite section of the Cardinal Greenway?
The Ross Community Center's weekly free community market brings food and other personal goods to the neighborhood.  A grant from The Community Foundation this year will support center operating costs to help them continue offering the market, along with other programs to help neighbors develop life skills, grow, and experience success.
The YMCA contributes to the education and development of children in our community. A grant from The Community Foundation last year supported Summer Day Camp. Getting kids outside to play, no matter the season, is a priority.
