Mulch and Hedge Trimming for Spring

As spring approaches, we recommend laying new mulch annually and this is the best time to do that. We always lay your mulch 2-3 inches thick to ensure your landscaping get the benefits mulch offers. Those benefits include things like moisture retention, weed barrier insulation for your plants and shrubs, erosion control, and of course aesthetics. Our most popular mulches include shredded hardwood, shredded pine bark, pine bark mini-nuggets, and designer brown and black mulch.

This is also the opportune time to trim all your plants, hedges, and shrubs around your property in preparation for the summer growing season. Trimming your shrubs and plants will help to shape your plants, encourage healthy new growth, and remove any branches that may be infected with disease.

As spring is approaching, treating your lawn with pre-emergent herbicide will help prevent summer weeds like crabgrass. We combine your pre-emergent lawn treatment with a high-quality fertilizer to encourage healthy new growth, as we come into our summer growing season.
