Pink Shirt Day 2020 - Anti Bullying
Pink Shirt Day is about working together to stop bullying by celebrating diversity and promoting positive social relationships. It’s about creating a community where all people feel safe, valued and respected, regardless of age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, or cultural background.
Skate Exchange:
The South East Grey Community Health Centre is collecting skates to re-distribute to children, youth and adults in our community. The skate exchange program has successfully supported winter play by making skates available at no cost, check your municipalities’ website to find skating times at your local arena. To help replenish the skate exchange, skate donations can be dropped-off at South East Grey Community Health Centre in Markdale and/or Dundalk.

                                       Brighter Futures & Healthy Beginnings

This is a combination program for parents who are expecting a child and for those with children 0-6 years.  Parents who feel a little stressed and would like support in their parenting role are encouraged to join us on Friday’s at Erskine Community Health Centre.  Activities vary from week to week, but we often cook a healthy meal, do a craft, and talk about the challenges and successes of parenting.  Parents also have a chance to speak with the registered dietitian and a nurse to support healthy development of babies, children, and parents.  This program is offered in partnership with Keystone Child, Youth, & Family Services.

See our program calendar for dates and times.  We ask that you call Kathy at Keystone to register ahead of time: 519-371-4773 ext.310.

                                         Community Volunteer Income Tax Program
Did you know our Community Health Centre has been running a free income tax service in our community since 2012?  The program is affiliated with Canada Revenue Agency’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program.  If you have a modest income and a simple tax situation, you may qualify for this program.  Take advantage of this excellent service to make you monthly budget stretch just a little bit further.  If you have any questions or if you would like to make an appointment, please contact us at 519-986-2222 ext.6376
