Program Highlights 


We have a variety of new programs available. Please check the monthly program calendars for any cancellations.

  • The Well Drop In: Join Madison every Friday from 1:00-3:00pm in The Well. Play board games, use the pool table, play  shuffleboard, knit with friends or read the paper, you choose
  • Beeswax Wrap Workshop: Learn how to make a beeswax wrap for FREE on January 3, 2019 from 11am-12pm. Located in The Well. Please register before January 1, by calling Rachel at 519-986-2222 ext. 6375
  • Winter Wellness: Join us on January 17, 2019 from 11:00am-1:30pm for an afternoon of wellness, in The Well. Make and enjoy lunch with our Dietitian, and learn how to Pole Walk with Madison and Rachel. Register for this FREE program by calling Madison at 519-986-2222 ext .6349 before January 14, 2019.
  • Shuffleboard, Board games, and much more!  Join us on the third Thursday of EVERY month starting Dec 18, from 3:00-4:00pm. Play shuffleboard, enjoy a game of cards, or play board games with your friends. For more information contact Madison at 519-986-2222 ext. 6349. This is located at Erskine Community Health Centre in Dundalk.
  • Let’s Get Craftin’: Come to the Erskine Community Health Centre on the fourth Tuesday of EVERY month starting January 22nd, from 3:00-4:00pm. For an afternoon of craft making. For more information on this FREE program contact Madison at 519-986-2222 ext. 6349.
  • Pole Walking: We are pleased to offer a Free Pole Walking group beginning December 11th.This program will teach participants how to use the walking poles, as well as offer an enjoyable way to stay active outdoors. Strollers and assistive devices welcome. For more information contact Madison at 519-986-2222 ext. 6349. Please dress according to the weather. Tuesdays from 1:30-2:30pm.
    *Walking poles are provided for the group. 
  • Yoga: WE HAVE HIRED AN INSTRUCTOR!! Located in The Well and at Erskine Community Health Centre. Join us for a 45-60 minute yoga class, this program is instructor led. Equipment is provided. Contact Rachel at 519 986 2222 ext 6375.
    The Well: Mondays from 11:30am-12:30pm
    Erskine: Starting January 3rd every Thursday from 9:30-10:30am
  • Tai Chi Video Series: Located in The Well and at Erskine Community Health Centre. This is for the tai chi curious a fun and entertaining way to learn the 24 hour movement yang style short form. Contact Rachel at 519-986-2222 ext. 6375, for more information. Taking place every Monday in The Well from 12:30-1:30pm.
    Taking place every Tuesday at ERSKINE from 9:30-10:30am
  • Medical Equipment: FREE!! If you require medical equipment ie; wheelchair, shower chair, cane, walker, commode, crutches, etc. Donations of new or used medical equipment are also being accepted. Contact 519-986-2222 ext. 3.
Flu Shots are now available for all rostered and non-rostered patients at the main location and all satellite locations. Please call us at 519-986-2222 extension 3 to book yours today!

Welcome, to our Volunteer Corner! South East Grey Community Health Centre thanks all our dedicated volunteers for the hours they have spent helping out with our programs and services. You can read about our available volunteer opportunities and fun facts about volunteering. We will also showcase our 'Volunteer of the Month' right here!
 
Volunteer of the Month:
South East Grey Community Health Centre would like to recognize our volunteer Della Goetz. Della has been a valuable volunteer of the Community Health Centre for many years, and we are happy to have her apart of our team. She helps out at our fairs and, this year she has helped us with our Client Satisfaction surveys (which we couldn’t have done without her)! Della always has a friendly smile, is enthusiastic and brings life to whatever she is doing. We are so grateful for everything you have done for the Community Health Centre, thank you Della!   
 
Volunteer Opportunities:

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available, some are listed below:

 

  1. Penny Pinching Board Volunteer: Have an interest in couponing or want to learn how to coupon? The Penny Pinching Board is a perfect way to get coupons and learn how to coupon. 
  2. Income Tax Volunteer: Do you like helping people, need experience to add to your resume, or simply enjoy doing tax returns? Volunteer with our free income tax program to complete tax returns for eligible people in your community.
  3. After School Program Volunteer: Do you like to play and plan games? Want to give back in your local community? Volunteer with our After School Programs at Highpoint, Osprey, Holland Chatsworth and Beavercrest.

If highway 10 in Markdale in closed, the CHC will also be closed. All daily programs will be cancelled.
