Library Director's Message

On June 2 at 4pm, we will be engaging the Library Litter Patrol! We encourage those interested to come and volunteer for the Patrol, and help make the library parking lot and grounds clean and free of litter.
Join us this weekend, on First Friday June 3 and Lansdale Day Saturday June 4 as we open the doors wide on our Book Sale! Purchase a commemorative Lansdale 150 tote bag for only $5, then fill it with as many books as you can fit into it!

Early Literacy

Summer Reading is almost here! This year's theme is "Read Beyond the Beaten Path," encouraging readers of all ages to explore both their local community outside of books and the endless worlds within them! Beginning June 13, readers can complete challenges through various events: tie-dyeing, seven new museum passes, borrowing an exploration backpack, and more! Create a FREE Beanstack account at, and venture into the wonderful world of books today!

Lifelong Learning

Blood Pressure Screenings will take place at the Lansdale Library on June 15  between 10am to 12pm. Provided by Community Health Outreach at Jefferson Health - Abington.
Our Art After Dinner series continues on June 16 at 7pm, with a Lighthouse Sketch! Participants will use pencil or charcoal on paper to sketch a lighthouse by the sea! Live guided instruction presented over Zoom.  Register on Eventbrite.

Cultural Diversity

On June 13, join the Coalition4Justice for a discussion on Redlining, Steering, and Race: How the U.S. Government Segregated America. Kem Smith, founder of Champy Investment Group LLC, will speak on how the United States government has strategically segregated America. Register for the Zoom meeting on Eventbrite
June is Pride Month and we've added a special Beanstack challenge to celebrate. Pride 365 is about celebrating everyone for who they are all year round, especially the LGBTQ+ community. Read books and complete activities that honor everyone’s uniqueness! Log reading from this challenge's reading list and complete activities to earn badges.
