Library Director's Message

        The library will be closed on July 4 in observance of Independence Day. We wish all of our patrons a safe and happy holiday, and to enjoy the warm weather!
        Our Summer Learning Program: Read Beyond the Beaten Path is still underway! Kids, teens, and even adults can register on Beanstack to start completing challenges, and earning badges! Check it out at
    The Library of Things continues to expand! We now offer activity backpacks, fishing rods, musical instruments, and more! Summer is the perfect time to pick up a new hobby, and the Library of Things is the best place to start!

Early Literacy

       Read  Beyond the Beaten Path forges ahead this summer! Register for upcoming  events on Eventbrite, and prepare for adventure!
        Kindness Rocks on July 11 from 1-2pm! Decorate rocks with encouraging messages, and leave them around town for others to discover!
        The second session of Little Red Hen Baking Club will be held on July 18, where you can receive bread-in-a-bag take-and-make baking kits to make and enjoy together!

Lifelong Learning

      The Retirement Road Map Series begins July 6 at 6 pm at the library In Part 1, we will cover social security claiming strategies to optimize your social security benefit as well as the benefits of delaying vs. claiming early. Future sessions will be on 7/13, 7/20, and 8/3. Register on Eventbrite.
       Join us for a Blood Pressure Check on July 13! Drop in between 10 am and 12 pm to have a visiting nurse check your blood pressure. Keeping a healthy blood pressure is one of the easiest and most effective ways to maintain your health, and leads to multiple other health benefits!

Cultural Diversity

        Join us on July 11 at 11am for Sweets Down the Street, an author read-aloud! Learn about South Asian culture, as Basit goes on a journey to spread sweetness! Recommended for ages 3-7; RSVP by texting "SWEET" to 215-353-6522.
        The Coalition4Justice will be holding their next meeting on July 11 at 7:30pm over Zoom, with the meeting's theme being What is DEI and Why is it Important in Education and the Workplace? Kassem Lucas, JD partner and head of DEI at Troutman Pepper, will examine how Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and the law intersect in the business and educational sectors. About Lansdale Library

The mission of the Lansdale Public Library is to enrich our community through the encouragement of early literacy, the fostering of life-long learning, and the inclusion and celebration of the cultural diversity in our area.

Lansdale Public Library serves the residents of the Borough of Lansdale. Non-residents are welcome to join for an annual family membership fee of $35. The library receives no state or school district funding. It is supported by dedicated funding from Lansdale Borough and through membership fees, donations, and fundraising activities. Membership scholarships are available for those in need.
