Library Director's Message

On Tuesday March 15, our staff will be undergoing training in the morning. The library will be opening late, at 1PM. Training sessions such as these are vital to helping us better serve the Lansdale community; we thank you for your understanding!  

Early Literacy

The game of chess is hundreds of years old, yet is still enjoyed all around the world. The Lansdale Public Library seeks to continue this proud tradition with a new Chess Club! Fill out this survey if you are interested in joining; players both new and experienced are welcome!

Lifelong Learning

Are you experiencing pain, isolation, and loneliness as a result of a loss? Want to feel better, but don’t know what to do? Join us for a free Grief 101 informational seminar explaining the basics of the grieving experience, and what you can do to feel better long term. The seminar will begin at 4PM on Tuesday March 15, here at the library and also available on Zoom. Signup on Eventbrite get the Zoom link or email director@lansdalelibrary.org.
        
Tax day is swiftly approaching, but it is never too late to get help with yours! Temple University is offering Free Tax Prep services for those with an income of less than $57,414. Get your free assistance as well as address/drop-off locations and instructions at www.getyourrefund.org/tuvs, by emailing Vita@Temple.edu, or by calling (215) 326-9519.

Cultural Diversity

The Boston Legacy Foundation is celebrating Memories and Memorabilia of Dr. Boston and the Elm Terrace Hospital on Doc Boston's birthday this coming Thursday! Share your stories and memories on March 10 at 1PM at the First Baptist Church, 700 N. Broad St., Lansdale PA 19446. On March 14 at 7:30PM The Coalition4Justice will host George Whitehair to present "Give Me the Opportunity": Celebrating and Honoring the Accomplishments and Legacy of Montgomery County’s Dr. Frank E. Boston.  Signup for the Zoom link via Eventbrite or email to director@lansdalelibrary.org

About Lansdale Library

The mission of the Lansdale Public Library is to enrich our community through the encouragement of early literacy, the fostering of life-long learning, and the inclusion and celebration of the cultural diversity in our area.

Lansdale Public Library serves the residents of the Borough of Lansdale. Non-residents are welcome to join for an annual family membership fee of $35. The library receives no state or school district funding. It is supported by dedicated funding from Lansdale Borough and through membership fees, donations, and fundraising activities. Membership scholarships are available for those in need.
