What's Happening
September 2021

Director's Corner
The mission of the Lansdale Public Library is to enrich our community through the encouragement of early literacy, the fostering of life-long learning, and the inclusion and celebration of the cultural diversity in our area.
I like to think of this as we prepare our community's children for school. We support them throughout their school careers. Then, we keep everyone learning throughout their lives. I hope you

will join us at our Back to School P.E.A.C.E Rally on Saturday as we work to get our children excited for a new school year.
Does something spark an interest in you?  Fuel that fire with information from the library. Read fiction to escape; it's much better for your mind than watching TV. Explore a new hobby, get help dealing with grief, take the leap and start that business you've been dreaming about. The library has the resources to inform and inspire you. September is National Library Card sign-up month. Invite your friends and neighbors to get a library card. It's easy to apply online.
I'm pleased to announce that we will be going back to our full service hours next week. Beginning Tuesday, September 7th our hours will once again be Monday through Friday from 10 am to 9 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm. The library will be closed for Labor Day on Monday, September 6th.
