What's Happening
October 2020
Shredding/Recycling Event, Art After Dinner workshops, and more during October.
DIrector's Corner:

Toward the end of last year, we put together a strategic plan for the library. While we've been thrown off track a bit by Covid19, we have continued to work on the new plan. The first bullet point in the plan is "Continue to offer a robust series of programs for children, including storytimes, summer reading club, and STEAM-based offerings." This email highlights some October programs, including the new Art After Dinner workshops and our annual fundraising event.

There are three tenets to our mission at the library of enriching our community: early education, lifelong learning, and celebrating diversity. Another point from our strategic plan is "Explore the process of changing the current board to consist of a mix of the general public and Borough Council." What we have come up with to get more public involvement is a plan to form three advisory committees, one for each tenet of our mission. So, we are seeking volunteers who would like to serve on these new committees. Please contact me if you would like to volunteer for a committee to help by suggesting, promoting, and implementing programs that align with the library's mission. director@lansdalelibrary.org or 215-362-2666.
