TONIGHT!  Tuesday | December 15 | 7 – 8:30pm

Please join us TONIGHT for a much-needed conversation with the artists of the Magic, Mirth, Mortality: Musings on Black Motherhood exhibition. This powerful and beautiful show of words and visual art opened less than a week before we locked down due to the pandemic, a closure that continues. The art still hangs on our walls and although it has been part of virtual tours it is past time to hold space for YOU. The themes in this show - health disparities, the roles of Black women in our society, community care, and the history that has led us to this moment - are even more relevant today during this time of Covid19 and racial reckoning.

It is a gift to have this interactive dialogue with some of our community's most compassionate and engaging creators.  Deep gratitude to Shawana Brooks, Obscura Lux, and Tatiana Kitchen for sharing their brilliance with the rest of us.  The program will be facilitated by Hope McMath.

The live Zoom event will also be streamed live on our Facebook page.  We will open the room at 6:30 to share art images, local music, and information regarding the evening.  Program will begin at 7pm. You need to register to be in the room with us https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZMpc-6hrjkjGNBjkuaX5feFuUeMMxtvO_i8
