Dear Saints,

I want to take a few minutes to send out an email to you all with some reminders about things going on around the parish.

This morning, 11/21/2020, at 11 am, is our dear friend Earle William's funeral. Because we expect people to be attending from out of town, we are requiring masks for this event.

I want to thank everyone who has helped with setting up and planning this. I know a lot of people have put in some hard work to make this happen. Thank you for coming together to honor the memory of our dear friend and brother in Christ.

This Sunday is Morning Prayer. If you are participating in Operation Christmas Child, tomorrow is your final day to bring a box in.

Because of the funeral today, the packing party is canceled, but if you have extra gifts to bring in, we will donate them to OCC to use at their discretion.

Lastly, over the last few weeks, I have been answering many questions about what we are doing for COVID mitigation at the church or why we are doing certain things about this. We have kept the same protocol for several months, but I thought a quick refresher might help anyone who has questions.

We have the following protocols in place:
  • Masks required for 8 am and strongly recommended for 10 am
  • Every other pew closed, and respectful distancing encouraged at all times.
  • Doors are left open for more airflow (I know this was is uncomfortable, but good airflow seems to be one of the best ways the mitigate spread. I realize that it makes parts of the church hot while other parts cold. You may want to bring a jacket and try different spots that may be more comfortable for you.)
  • The church is thoroughly cleaned during the week, and used pews are wiped down between Sunday services.
  • Hand sanitizer is available in the back of the church and the parish hall, and we will be putting out more on the tables in the parish hall.
I am so grateful for everyone's cooperation and willingness to come together during this time. I know that it has been trying for so many, and please know that I pray for each of you and our church every day.
In Christ,
Fr. Ian
