At the PTO Officers Meeting on September 8th, the members in attendance discussed the following:

  • New thicker letters were delivered for the new sign. We hope this will fix the issue we had with them blowing off and consequently getting destroyed by the lawnmower.

  • We earned $15.72 from Amazon Smile between April 1 and June 30. To sign up for this and other Everyday Fundraisers, see information at http://www.gladehillpto.com/opportunitiestogive/.

  • The deadline to place an order for the 2020-2021 5th grade designed “Better Together” T-shirt or the “Glade Hill” Tye-Dye shirt will be September 18th. You can also purchase them online at https://glade-hill-pto.square.site/

  • The Art teacher, Ms. Banks, requested watercolor pallets for the students to use for in-person instruction. We voted yes to supply those.

  • The 4th grade requested a small number of additional supplies for their classes, which we voted yes to supply.

  • We voted yes to continue participating in the Reading for Education Program. They have changed the program and information will be sent home beginning October 5th. Information to participate for all virtual students will be posted on the Glade Hill Website and Facebook pages.

  • We will be meeting later this month to discuss improvements needed at the baseball field. There will not be Fall Baseball this year which will allow us to take our time making the needed repairs before the spring.

  • We are still waiting for additional information from the Building & Maintenance Department regarding the broken slide. We hope to provide families more information soon and come to an agreement on getting it replaced by the time restrictions are lifted allowing students to use it again.

  • There are many annual events we would like to plan for but are unable to due to restrictions at this time. One of these that we have decided not to hold includes the Election Day Bake Sale. Many others will likely be decided later this month and next and we will try to notify families of dates as soon as possible.
