At the PTO Meeting on March 10th, the members in attendance discussed the following:
- The last Box Tops competition for the school year was supposed to end May 1st. The class that collected the most over the entire year was to receive a pizza party. We are calculating the number that was received for the school year we had and are trying to find a way for them to still receive that reward.

We want to give an update about the status of the signage that we conducted our fall fundraiser (Color Run). We obtained a quote over the summer prior to the fundraiser to find out what we needed our goal to be for fundraising. We were instructed to ask Mrs. Poindexter to submit the request for a bid per the Boards’ requirements. After we reached our fundraising goal, Mrs. Poindexter submitted the form required to Darryl Spencer who is the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds for Franklin County School in November of 2019. It has still not been addressed to date although he has been by recently to inspect the matter of the broken slide at the playground. Although the request regarding the sign had already been made several times, he requested that she submit it again, which she has.

The soccer goals have been repainted and signage and new nets were tol be installed prior to practice beginning towards the end of the month. Since all spring sports are canceled, they will be kept in storage until the fall session begins. The chainlink basketball nets have also been removed and replaced with the standard regulation size rope nets. We have sought the assistance of a local athlete that played softball at Ferrum and will conducting maintenance on the baseball field later in the year. Anyone that has signed up for the newsletter emails will get an email for volunteer requests when that time comes. It will also be posted on the PTO Facebook page.

We are still looking for someone who would be interested in serving as an officer with the PTO for the next school year. Please contact us with your interest. A survey will go out as an informal voting on the previously scheduled April Date for the regular meeting. Interested people should contact us prior to them if you are interested in a position.
