Forest Quilt Auction to Benefit Days for Girls

Days for Girls is an international organization of sewing teams that make reusable feminine hygiene kits for girls and women in areas of the globe who, while menstruating, are forced to miss school and work because feminine products are unavailable to them.

This spectacular 95”x106” auction quilt, currently displayed at Blue Bar Quilts, was made by the High Country Quilt Guild of Mount Horeb to support the work of the Days for Girls Middleton Team. The proceeds from this auction help cover the cost of materials needed to sew many parts of the kits, other kit components and shipping. To date, more than 400 kits made by the Middleton team have benefited girls and women in Malawi, Philippines, Bali, Kenya, Haiti, Botswana and most recently, Syrian refugee camps.

Bidding starts at $1,000 and continues through November 6 at 3PM. This is a sealed bid auction. Bid forms may be obtained at Blue Bar Quilts or request one by email: bluebarquilts@gmail.com. Bid forms can be submitted by US Mail or in person at the shop. Bids cannot be submitted via email. Please share this information freely so together we may support the efforts of our Middleton Days for Girls team.
