Life With Cats and Art April 2020
My last newsletter was written just before our world changed forever. Who could have imagined a virus would have such a drastic hold on the human race? I'm afraid our lives will change in ways we can't even fathom right now.
As an artist I decided to take advantage of all the down time while everything was locked down and focus in on things that I am always meaning to do but never have the time. As a friend posted on her Facebook Page "After years of wanting to thoroughly organize my house but lacking the time, this week I discovered that wasn't the reason".

It's been open just 2 weeks and I've already had sales. I am mostly offering items from my own inventory since I have stopped exhibiting in outdoor shows. The masks are the exception since they are a POD (Print On Demand) product and orders are fulfilled by Fine Art America. They are so popular that I decided to make them available on Etsy. As one of my customers said, "Why not wear beautiful artwork in this time of chaos?”
All of my images are available as masks. "Essence of Cat" (click the image below) is the most popular so far with Meowjongg not far behind). You can find them all on my website https://karen-rosenblatt.pixels.com This is the same as www.KarenZukRosenblatt.com. I have no idea why it sometimes comes up as one or the other. Sometimes the second one doesn't work at all. Not good since it's on all my printed materials. (Will work on that issue when I have time. lol).
If I have left out your favorite just ask. The easy way to see all the masks is to click the link on the top left corner (Masks Now Available). It will show you all the masks arranged in "Collections". Click on "more" to see them all. They are simply organized by subject matter, which includes cats, dogs, animals, landscapes, seascapes, Africa, Venice, Miami, etc.
I will also be listing my original art in my Etsy shop soon as well as greeting cards. So far i have only listed cats. Will be adding other categories and subjects as I figure out how to organize it.
In my Zazzle shop I have a customizable mask with text. You can use your name, a phrase or your company name. The background is a beautiful beach scene with a rainbow.

Also on Zazzle, they finally made puzzles available in a variety of sizes. No longer just small versions which I assumed would appeal to children. They are now available in challenging sizes and rated from easy to difficult. They come in a nice gift box. Right now the 20" x 30" size is on sale for $69. If you don't see your favorite contact me and I'll set it up for you. Meowjongg was the first to sell in the over 1000 pieces category that's marked "difficult". I'm tempted to buy it for myself since I love puzzles.

On a late afternoon they sat in the garden to play a fun game of Mahjongg. Soon the game turned into a catastrophe as some of these feisty felines began to disagree. "You can't call that tile, she already racked hers! - Yes, I can! It's my house, I make the rules! - Oh, for the sake of all treats, just cut it out and let's play! I don't have all day. I need to go home soon and take my afternoon nap."

The ginger boys are not the least interested in a virus. They are just happy to have me home all the time and I am very happy to be able to spend more time with them. I can't imagine not having them around, especially now.
