Time to run for office
GlynnDems fielded eight local candidates in the 2018 mid-term elections. This year -- the presidential cycle -- many more county positions are open, including sheriff, tax commissioner and more.
If you want to run as a Democrat in the Nov. 3, 2020 General Election, you must first qualify and run in the May 19 General Primary.
Qualifying begins at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 2 and ends at noon on Friday, March 6.
The Glynn County Board of Elections web site has all the information you need to qualify for the upcoming primary. Visit the link below.

The kids are alright

Our membership is trending younger, and that's a good thing.

Here's to all the new, younger activists who are joining the GlynnDems. We applaud and thank you.

Launching a chapter for young GlynnDems

Shaheim A. Johnson, a junior at Brunswick High School, is starting a young GlynnDems chapter to engage the youth of Glynn County in Democratic Party politics.
He’s a student director of the Glynn County Student Advisory committee , which is working to create a voice for the 13,000 pre-K through grade 12 students in Glynn County.
Shaheim is 17 and hopes to attend college to become a professional educator and advance in the field of education. He believes that the political parties should be serving the people and hopes to have an impact on the world for the good of the people.

He lives in Brunswick with his mother, brother, two sisters and Sisco the dog.

More than 100 people turned out in January for the grand opening of our new campaign headquarters. It was great to see such a large crowd sharing time with fellow Dems and enjoying the catered hoers d'oeuvres. The new HQ will give us plenty of space for our monthly meetings, candidate events and as a staging area for canvasing in the fall. 1919 Glynn Ave., Suite 7, in the Sidney Lanier Plaza.

Teresa Tomlinson, primary candidate for the U.S.Senate, addressed Democrats and took questions at a January meet and greet.
Do you recall and election with so much at stake? Not very likely.
