Dear FUMC Family,
Each year, I look forward to my annual trip to Maine in August. Since 2003, I have yearly been making a pilgrimage to the beautiful state. I stay at the same home in Eastport, Me, make day trips to familiar places, and I always include new places yet discovered. I returned from 10 days in Maine, last Sunday in the dark hours of the morning, and was able to make it to worship. I always come back renewed and excited to get back involved in ministry. I excited about getting into the fall schedule of Classes and activities of Ministry at FUMC. I hope you are also.
This coming Sunday we will celebrate to "Labor Holiday" in worship looking together at Colossians 3:23-24 and Proverbs 12:24 as we focus on what the scriptures teach to us through the sermon, "Hands to Work, Hearts to God". We will also celebrate Holy Communion. Because of the holiday weekend, there will be no children's church but children's church will begin again the following Sunday uniterrpuded for the next few months. I look forward to seeing you Sunday and to being back in the pulpit.
Updates to the Parlor Kitchen Continue!! Even in its unfinished form its beautiful!! Thank you to everyone has made this renovation project a dream come true, especially the United Methodist Women and Roger's Construction. The kitchen renovation project is a combination of many people's ideas and suggestions becoming a reality not just a dream. This kitchen is an important place where many forms of ministry take place, possibly more than you realize.
